Yesterday I finished reading Breaking Dawn. It's so weird, because Twilight took me a 'normal' amount of time to read it. I'm not entirely sure how long it took me, because it's a while a go.
New Moon was ok, I guess. Not sure about that one either. Than Eclipse took me aaages. Just because I couldn't get into it at first, because I didn't read the book one after the other. I read other book in between the Twilight series.
Anyway, in Eclipse Bella was tired and sad and numb ALL THE TIME. All the time. It was annoying and depressing and kind of boring, tbh, to read. The part where she found out that Jacob was a wolf, or should I say 'shape-shifter' was pretty awesome, though. :) But that was like 75% in to the book.. so yeh. Then it got a bit more interesting and then Bella started seeing Edward and everything went kind of fast. And then things slowed down again.
Then there was some stuff with the Volturi. Which was pretty funny. Because Aro is soo sarcastic, it's just unbelievable. And .. what's-his-face.. Demitri? No, Marcus? He looked bored all-the-time. The ancients would stand together (...) and Marcus looked bored. (...) And that's just funny to imagine.. A vampire standing there, everybody is afraid of them, and he's just standing there like: 'oh well, shit happens, I don't feel bad for you. whatever. suck it. later.' .. something like that. And, if I remember it correctly, he really doesn't do anything. In Breaking Dawn at least, he just is there.. Looking bored. At Aro's flank all the time. Well, he's one of the ancients. that's for sure.
Pretty hilarious.
And than it ended. And I was kind of angry and pretty mad .. (I'm talking about Eclipse here ;)) Because it was such a weird book.. like what the freak.. Edward just disappears and leaves us with a totally ragged down Bella who never sleeps because of the nightmares and I don't know.. Finds out her best friend is a freaking human-wolf. - she's totally okay with that, if you hadn't noticed -. The love of her life is running off because he doesn't know what to do with his feelings. Which apparently are way stronger than human feelings, while I thought vampires couldn't really feel.. because they were.. dead. Undead, to be exact.. so yeah. Weird book.
A little something about the series, just to add. Bella kind of got to my nerves some of the times.. She got pretty annoying.. Just because she was so blank.. But that's the awesome part, because that's part of the story! Because in Breaking Dawn she finally becomes a vampire and apparently she has super power, which saves them aaalll from the evil vampires. It's sooo awesome:D So, that totally makes up for everything. She still comes a cross pretty wary a lot of the time. But it's okay. She a teen-mom and married very young ^^ and well.. she's a vampire although she doesn't feel the thing she's supposed to feel. That's all there's to it.
What also pretty annoying was, to end this with, is the fact that in the end things were kind of building up to a big evil-vampires vs. vegetarian-vampires & wolves - FIGHT! But oh no! No. The loving and caring Carlisle is not willing to throw a fight.. he want's peace. and all Aro's is like is peace. (No seriously, he says that a lot) anyway. Carlisle is determined to get this over with peacefully.. and well.. that's kinds of what happens. There isn't really any action. It was a awesome ending ! but that wasn't any fighting, which would've been preeeetty epic. (And I haven't seen the parts 1&2, the films, but what confuses me is the running part in the trailer from Breaking Dawn part 2.. because as far as I know there isn't any furious running from the two groups.. only furious standing still and holding gazes. and shifting places. and because courageous and furious and happy and angry and crazy... okay. that's enough. There's the end.
I loved these series ! :D I kind of get where the fuss is about.. a lot of people started hating the books because of the films and because of Bella's personality, but personally: I loved it :) And I will definitely will be reading these books again and they will be in my bookshelf foreverrr :)
I've recently been keeping my GoodReads pretty up-to-date, so you can check that out if you like ! :)
This was like a rave-review about the Twilight series. I've wrote more about these books, I believe.. look somewhere on my blog. Maybe I'll like it. I'm not sure.
I'm going to study some more.
I hope you're having a lovely week
Keep reading!
